UFS Explorer Professional Recovery is a full-featured software application created for data recovery professionals and technical specialists. An advanced multi-tool interface makes the software appropriate for even complicated data recovery tasks. UFS Explorer Professional Recovery enables thorough data structure analysis and full-scaled data recovery. Embedded RAID Builder mechanism allows building standard RAID configurations of any level. Moreover, RAID definition language lets you build any custom RAID configuration. If necessary, low-level tools of UFS Explorer Professional Recovery allow making permanent changes to the information initially contained on the storage. The software can be installed in several operating systems – Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS and Linux.
The software is adjusted to work with file systems on disk images, virtual disks, RAID storages, etc. without the need for prior scanning.

Created for professionals, the product requires at least basic user experience and computer literacy. The software contains a set of safe read-only data analysis tools allowing users to solve most practical data loss cases and a write-enabled hexadecimal editor to correct even severe cases of file system damages.

How to recover data with UFS Explorer Professional Recovery
To install the program, download the installation file. Be sure to have minimal technical configuration to run the file.
If installation does not start automatically, browse the Downloads folder for the program setup file, usually containing the name of the software in its name, e.g. ufsxpci.exe. Open the file under root privileges or enter the administrator password, in case you are a simple user of PC. Start the installation by following the prompts.
NEVER download or install the software to the storage (drive, flash drive, RAID, etc.) you have lost data from. This can result to permanent data loss leaving no chances for recovery. In case of data loss from a partition, it is highly recommended to shut down the system and consider using UFS Explorer Emergency Recovery CD.

After launching the program, you will see the navigation tree on the left side of the tab where all detected storages will be shown, as well as partitions, disk images and complex storages (RAID). You can either choose the needed storage from this top-level structure or use the Open button. In case when you don’t see the needed storage, press the Refresh storages button to reset the tree of the attached storages.
Further on, you can also choose specific files and folders if needed. Then, press the Recover button to start the process.
Before the exact recovery, the application will scan the chosen storage, which may take a while, depending on the volume of data stored and working speed. It's strongly recommended to save the scan result project for further work.
The final step is evaluating the scan results. The scan results show all files and folders available for recovery. The simple interface allows users to browse and copy files just like in an original file system, making the recovery procedure easy and fast. Users can preview the recovered files before saving to make sure that the results are satisfying their needs.
NEVER save the recovered files to the storage they were recovered from. The file data (contents) for recovery is still read from the source drive; this means the software may overwrite file contents making recovery impossible. Use another storage to save the recovered data.
Reconstruction of RAID storages
This professional application handles standard, nested and custom RAID configurations. The software supports assembly of non-redundant RAID0 and JBOD, 1 and 1E mirrors, Levels 3 and 4 with dedicated parity and 5 and 6 with distributed parity. Special syntax enables setting up custom RAID configuration with different data distribution algorithms.
Support of disk images and virtual disks
UFS Explorer Professional Recovery supports disk images and virtual disks produced by virtual machines of the leading virtualization software vendors. The program manages virtual disks and disk image files exactly in a way as if they were physical disks and allows accessing or recovering lost data from them.
Immediate access to files and folders
The software provides direct access to intact data on any of the supported file systems without the need for prior scanning. As soon as you open the program, it displays all attached storages with accessible file systems where you can find your data.
Full-disk encryption support
The software works with full-disk encryption providing possibility to access and recovery files from encrypted volumes. Supported systems are Windows EFS and Linux with its device mapper encryption module (dm-crypt) and LUKS encryption method.
The software opens disk image files or virtual disks from a file system already opened in UFS Explorer. With this application you can easily build RAID storing VMware ESX virtual machines (VMFS file system), open virtual disk directly from VMFS and recover data straight from virtual machine without the need to extract virtual disk first. Disk-on-Disk software feature activates a variety of low-level data access tools.

Recovery of complex RAID storages
The software supports virtual reconstruction of a RAID system after failure of controller or RAID metadata. The software manages virtual RAID building and reading its files and folders as if they were physical RAID storage. The RAID-on-RAID feature allows building RAID configurations of increased complexity. Asynchronous data access technology and adaptive RAID reconstruction significantly improve the recovery results.
The software is able to decrypt disk volumes for data recovery and for data access purposes (if the encryption key is known). The list of supported systems includes Windows EFS and Linux with its device mapper encryption module (dm-crypt) and LUKS encryption method and can be used with encrypted storages (including NAS storages).
