CD/DVD access specifics
UFS Explorer supports data access on CD/DVD image files (.iso, .mdf and so on) as well as real CD/DVD disks. It supports both ISO9660 with Microsoft Joliet unicode extension and UDF.
The default program behavior is not to detect CD/DVD drives: input/output operations over these drives could be very slow and with high latency (for idle devices).
Thus to detect CD/DVD drives you should use 'Rescan disks, including CD/DVD and floppies' tool (right-click 'Computer' on left panel and choose tool from context menu).
Note: sometimes input/output over real CD/DVD disks might be very slow or impossible with UFS Explorer due to specific disk formatting (like MacOS partitions on CD/DVD) or surface damage; in this case it's recommended to use low-level CD/DVD imaging software to create CD/DVD image before file system access.
CD/DVD file systems have no external partition tables apart of file system, thus UFS Explorer is unable to detect partitions and file systems automatically.
After usual CD/DVD device or image file is opened, UFS Explorer shows only one 'unknown' partition. To detect actual file system, use 'File system: fast detect' tool. MacOS CD/DVD may contain MacOS-style partition map apart of 'fake' ISO9660 file system, so HFS/HFS+ there could be detected in 'usual' way.
In case disk contains both UDF and ISO9660 file systems (compatibility mode), 'File system: fast detect' tool will find both and suggest file systems to choose.
